About Video Marketing
Video marketing in the 21st century pretty much refers to marketing your company on the internet to make business. It is a highly lucrative method of promoting yourself mainly due to it being highly cost effective; if you have the right skills you can do the whole process for absolutely nothing and be very successful indeed. It has really kicked off in the last 6 years or so because of revolutions in internet technology such as high speed broadband connections to the masses and the ever increasing advances in mobile phone technology. Iphone was the beginning of the new mobile internet experience because of brand new features which haven’t really been implemented proper beforehand like a proper browser, with video capabilities, a large screen to view them on and of course fast enough to stream videos at a decent rate. There is a definite trend between the technology in your hand and what it is used for because the amount of video which were watched on the internet between 2005 and now has increased thousands of per cent and more than likely tens of thousands.
Tools to use
The most original way of video marketing is to do it yourself because you know the most about you specialise in and users will definitely get the feeling of this, it is important to do this in an age where clicking x takes about 1 second. You also need to grab people’s attention in the first few seconds like a film trailer the first impressions will establish the quality of your video which will denote what your business is all about. You need the right tool for the job to achieve this. If you do not want to spend any money of video software then you will pretty much be stuck with movie maker which doesn’t give the most professional results, but it is easy to use for a beginner and the video you make can look good if you keep them simple. For people who want to really get into video marketing and you have a PC then the software which I like to use is Adobe© premiere pro© which is quite hard to get to grips at first because of the sheer amount of features. Over time however, you will be making professional standard videos ( bearing in mind that you are ok with a camera) at a rapid pace. You can always send your footage to a production company but, be prepared to spend a lot of money.
Where to put your video
There is a whole wealth of places to put your video, but it all depends on what image you are trying to portray. A lot of companies have their own websites now so the first thing to do would be to upload it there, the only problem with this is not many people will see the video unless you happen to own cnet or something because Google have done a good job of making SEO a monstrous task. So the smartest way to get you almost instantly is to upload to YouTube which is free and easy to use. YouTube is ranked at number 3 in the world for most popular websites which is a huge chance of potential clients. Other notable mentions are Vimeo which is also very popular with a great community, the only thing is I expect that it will not be a free service soon… Daily motion will get you loads of traffic but do not put anything there which is purely self-promoting because they may remove your video, instead put up tutorials to draw attention.
